1978 Ferrari 208 GT4 Black with yellow and black interior. Car shows 18000 on odometer. I have known this car for many years, it belonged to a customer who sadly passed away last year, he was a great guy who really enjoyed life and he loved his Ferrari, the world would be a better place if there were more people like this guy was. While the car isn’t completely original it was loved in the ownership it had. He changed the interior somewhat and put on a rear spoiler. The last few years he didn’t use the car, it was stored in a heated garage, when I got it I drained out the old gas and carefully inspected the motor and made sure it would turn over ok, then I fired it up using some either, it started right up, I didn’t go any farther than that. The car should be gone thru before you put it into use, I would do belts, all fluids, clean the carbs, the brakes are sticky also. This is a great car for a do-it yourself type person. These are simple to work on and with all the information today on the internet, you can find out how to do anything. Cosmetically the paint is very good with a small dent in the front nose up by the drivers side light and one in the back just behind the passenger door, they are both minor. The front bumper is pushed on side(you can just put it out with a flatbed winch). There are some minor bubbles on the rear wheel arches but the rest of the car is clean. The Ferrari script on the top of the windshield has been removed since the photos were taken, it was just a decal.
The 208 GT4 was made for the Italian Market, they have a tax on cars over two liters so they made the 208 in response to that tax. While the motor isn’t as large as the 308, the car has shorter gearing and hotter cams, these cars are great fun to drive, I have had a few go thru my hands in the past and I really enjoyed the experince behind the wheel and with the European bumpers the car really looks sharp as the GT4 was meant to look without the goofy large bumpers the other cars come with
